Radiator draining
« Started on: 13-Aug-19, 18:39 »
Hi, I've a new (to me) cx500. The radiator is draining into the overflow. Water doesn't look contaminated with oil. Apparently it was doing it for the previous owner. Any ideas as to why?

When you say water is draining into the overflow do you mean it is going into the coolant bottle when hot and not being drawn back to the radiator as the engine cools?

If this is your problem it is most likely caused by a faulty radiator cap OR a leak/crack in the overflow hose that goes from the radiator to the coolant bottle.
