my name is roger and I have just joined. I have been riding my cx 500C ( the strange 24 engine number model ) for over 20 years , and it has just developed a misfire. On stripping the carbs I found both inlet carby rubbers have split. I cannot get honda ones, are the aftermarket replacements any good ?

Roger hi from a fellow Ipswichian (now living in NSW)

I have not tried the after market carb rubbers but I have used some SOS tape to wrap the carb rubbers which worked really well and continues to do so some 6 or 7 years later.

I have some and they appear well enough made. Time will tell how they stand up but as the best deal currently is $15.70 a pair just get them.
