different version of air cut off valves
« Started on: 22-Oct-19, 00:06 »
Hi guys, I've got a CX500 with pod-filter, re-jetted to 125, 85 which was running fine. A few months ago I noticed that turning the throttle quickly to fully open the bike started to hold back for a second before responding. As my carburetors were overdue for a service I pulled them out and they were dirty. I've cleaned everything and want to order the air cut off valves. When comparing these with another spare carburetor set I saw that these have cone shape covers and the others have a flat covers. Can I interchange this without problems as along as I keep the corresponding springs with it? A picture of each different versions is attached. Thanks.

What do CMS charge for the ones to match your machine?

It might not be worth the risk.

Thanks for the reply. They have aftermarket ones for Euro 12.50... Might buy 2 sets and keep the spare :)
